Early in the morning, our
guide pick you up from your hotel in Beijing and
transfer to Beijing airport for flight to Chengdu.
Arrive at Chengdu, local guide will meet you at
the airport and then visit thePanda Breeding and
Research Centre. After lunch, explore the Kuanzhai
Chengdu Panda Breeding
and Research Centre: Started with 6 giant
pandas that were rescued from the wild, it is a
breeding facility for pandas and other rare animals.
The research base covers an area of 92 acres; pandas,
black-necked cranes, white storks and over 20 species
of rare animals are fed and bred there throughout
Three parallelly arranged traditional streets and
courtyard houses in Chengdu. It is an only area
which recorded rich architectural and social characteristic
feature about the residential building from Qing
Dynasty (1644-1911) till now.
- Leshan - Emeishan (Breakfast,
After Breakfast, visit Leshan
Giant Buddha in Leshan City which is 160km from
Chengdu, the drive takes about 2 hours. After lunch,
drive 30 kilometers to Mt. Emei which
takes only half hour.
Leshan Giant Buddha:
At 71 m high, this huge riverside cliff-carving
of Buddha is the tallest stone Buddha statue in
the world. Construction was started in 713 in the
Tang Dynasty (618-907), and finished in the year
803, the statue took people more than 90 years to
carve. The Giant Buddha overlooks the confluence
of the Minjiang River, Dadu River and Qingyi River,
and faces the Emeishan Mountain.

Take a 22-seat bus and drive
1.5 hours along the mountain road from the gate
to the cable car station in the middle of the mountain,
then take the cable car up to the site near the
summit. Walk about 10 minutes to get to the golden
summit - the top of Mt. Emei.
After lunch, take the sightseeing bus down to the
middle of the mountain. Explore the Wannian Temple.
Walk down the mountain, pass the one-sky-line rock,
monkey region and Qingyin Pavilion, arrive at the
foot of mountain after 1.5 hours.
Drive back to Chengdu, end of service.
Mt. Emei: Located
in Sichuan province, it is one of the four Buddhist
sacred mountains of China. At 3,099m, it is towering,
beautiful and mysterious. Mt. Emei is a wondrous
world. The trees are verdant almost all the year
round; the waterfalls are splendid; the whole scenery
is beautiful and quiet. The landscape varies according
to the seasons, the height and the climate. It was
made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
