Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Beijing - Lhasa (Lunch)
Our guide will meet you in your hotel in Beijing. Be transferred to Beijing airport for the moring flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival at the Lhasa Kongga airport, our local Lhasa guide will meet you there and drive to your hotel. Have lunch. Free at leisure to acclimatize yourself to the high latituder.
Day 02 Lhasa (Breakfast, Lunch)
Visit Potala Palace in the morning, only limited visitors allowed per day. Have lunch. Free time on Barkhor Street after an interesting tour in Jokhang Temple.

Potala Palace: With a history of over 1300 years, it was built in the 7th century by the Tibetan king Songtsan Gambo. With an area of 410,000 square meters, the Potala Palace is comprised of over 200,000 statues, temples, shrines, and historical Tibetan relics. The 13-story magnificent palace was completely constructed by wood and stone, it was selected on the Word Heritage List in 1994.
Jokhang Temple: Built about 1350 years ago, during the reign of the first king of Tibet, Songsten Gampo, the temple was to welcome his bride, Princess Wencheng who came from the capital of the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Located in the centre of the old Lhasa city and surrounded by the busy Barkhor Street, the Jokhang Temple is regarded as the most sacred monastery and spiritual center of Tibet.
Barkhor Street: Located in the center of the old Lhasa city, it is a circular street that dates back to the year 647. Here, the market has all manner of goods from Tibetan paintings, Buddhist statues, urquoise jewelry, meditation beads, colorful traditional Tibetan clothes and yak wool sweaters.
Day 03

Lhasa - Namtso Lake - Lhasa (Lunch)
Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 08:00 am.
Drive 5 hours to Heavenly Lake - Namtso. You will arrive at the lake around the early afternoon. Take some rest and enjoy the splendid landscape of Namtso Lake. After the trip, transfer back to your hotel.

Lake Namtso: Located 112 kilometers from Lhasa, the beautiful lake lies at an elevation of 4,718 meters and has a surface area of 1,920 square kilometers. In Tibetan, Namtso means "Heavenly Lake"; here visitors will find snowcapped mountains; open pastures dotted with herds of yaks, cows, and sheep; and nomadic tents surround the crystal clear waters.

Day 04 Lhasa (Breakfast, Lunch)
You will begin the tour at Norbulingka. After that, you will visit the Tibet Museum. You will finish today's activity after visit the Carpet Factory and Sera Monastery.

Norbulingka: Built in 1751, it was the summer palace of Dalai Lama since the 7th century. In Tibetan, Norbulingka means "jeweled garden", it is surrounded by flowers, trees, ponds, terraces, and towers. This elegant palace contains some fabulous murals fusing Tibetan history and myth. In the palace there are many valuable objects, including antiques, gold ware, jade, Buddhist artifacts, and old furniture.
Sera Monastery: Built in 1419, this magnificent monastery covers an area of 114,946 square meters and is one of the three great monasteries in Lhasa. Sera Monastery boasts many precious cultural relics, it is famous for its "Buddhism Scriptures Debating" in the afternoon. Lamas usually have debates from 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Day 05 Lhasa - Departure (Breakfast)
Your guide will help you check out the hotel. Be driven to the airport or train station to depart from Lhasa.

3. Single Room Supplement
Should a twin room is needed by a single guest, supplement of the twin room will be charged.
What is single supplement? - The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
