Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival of Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing, our professional tour guide will meet you at airport. After claiming your luggage, you will easily find our guide holding a welcome sign with your name on it. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 02 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)
Morning excursion to the Badaling Great Wall. After lunch, visit the Ming Tombs and Sacred Way. See the appearance of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) at a distance.


Badaling Great Wall: The best preserved part of the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644) Great Wall.
Ming Tombs: The mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. The mausoleums have been perfectly preserved.
Day 03 Beijing - Hohhot (Breakfast + Lunch)
Visit the Temple of Heaven and the pandas in Beijing Zoo. After lunch, transfer to the airport for flight to Hohhot.

Temple of Heaven: An outstanding representative of Chinese traditional architecture for its clever design and harmoneous colors. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the emperor came to pray and thank gods for the harvests every year.
Day 04 Hohhot (Breakfast + Lunch)
Drive to the Gegentala Grassland. Gegentala means "a place for spending summer" in Mongolian, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the grassland. Visit the herdsmen's tent and enjoy the Singing and Dances of Mongolian people. Stay tonight in the tent of Mongolian people.
Day 05 Hohhot - Datong (Breakfast + Lunch)
Drive back to Hohhot in the morning. Visit the Tomb of Wang Zhaojun, the Five Pagoda Temple and the Dazhao Temple. Take soft seat train to Datong.

Tomb of Wang Zhaojun: Wang Zhaojun was a maid of honor in an imperial palace of the Han Dynasty. In 33 B.C. Huhanxie Chanyu, chief of the Xiongnus, proposed ties of amity with the Han court through marriage. When Zhaojun married Huhanxie, she brought with her the rich culture of the Central China Plain to the Xiongnu people in the north.
Five Pagoda Temple: The Pagoda is 16.5 meters high and looks like a Buddha's Warrior Attendant's seat, with a base under it and five exquisite pagodas on the base. As more than 1560 relief sculptures of Buddhas are engraved on the five pagodas, the temple enjoys the reputation of being "a 10000-Buddha Tower".
Dazhao Temple: Built in 1580 and expanded in the early years of the Qing Dynasty, the temple consists of a number of halls and a nine-room building; it contains many precious relics, including silver Buddhist statues and lions cast in iron.
Day 06 Datong - Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)
Visit the Huayan Monasteryand the Nine Dragon Screen, the Yungang Grottoes and Shanhua Monastery. Take the overnight soft berth train to Beijing.

Huayan Monastery: The Monastery is located in the southwestern part of Datong. These splendid ancient buildings were constructed of wood during the Liao Dynast more than nine hundred years ago.
Nine Dragon Screen: This glazed-brick structure has nine dragons sculptured in relief in five colors, the screen is 45.5 meters long, 8 meters high, and 2 meters thick. It was built more than six hundred years ago.
Yungang Grottoes: China's largest grottoes and world-famous treasure-house of arts and culture with 53 caves, with 51,000 carved statues and bas-reliefs.
Shanhua Monastery: First built in A.D. 713-741 during the Tang Dynasty. The entire monastery is a well-proportioned, well-preserved complex. It contains more than thirty Buddhist statues sculptured during the Liao and Kin dynasties, the most noteworthy being covered in gold leaf.
Day 07 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
After breakfast at your hotel, tour to the Forbidden City (the Imperial Palace), the Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. Enjoy the Beijing Duck Dinner and the Peking Opera in the evening.


Forbidden City: Used to be the imperial palace of the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1616-1911) dynasties.
Tiananmen Square: Tian'anmen was the front gate of the Imperial Palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. In front of the gate is the world's largest open ground in the city - the Tian'anmen Square.
Summer Palace: A magnificent imperial garden, the largest ancient preserved garden in China and a former summer resort for emperors.
Beijing Duck Dinner: The most delicious food Beijing has to offer.
Peking Opera: The most influential and representaive of all operas in China and has a history of about 200 years.
Day 08 Departure (Breakfast)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure, end of service.

1. Hotel accommodation
The hotel is based on two persons sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.
2. Meals
Daily American or Chinese breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch and dinner in local Chinese restaurant as specified in the itinerary. B - Breakfast, L - Lunch, D - Dinner.
3. Private Transport
Private transport between airport or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned vehicle.
4. Transportation between Cities
The economic class air tickets of the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between cities as specified in the itinerary.
5. Entrance tickets
The main entrance tickets for the sights mentioned.
6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you finish the itinerary of each city. If your tour includes Yangtse River cruise, the cruise shore excursion is in-group assigned by the cruise company.
7. Insurance
China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.
8. Tibet Travel Permit application fee
The Tibet Travel Permit application fee if your tour covers Tibet.

Charge of obtaining your visa to enter China.
2. Charge of arrival and departure
The international or domestic air / train charge of arrival and departure.
3. Single Room Supplement
Should a twin room is needed by a single guest, supplement of the twin room will be charged.
What is single supplement? - The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
4. Personal Expenses
Expenses of a personal nature such as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone call, optional activities or sightseeing, overweight baggage charges or meals not indicated, ect.
5. Optional Programs
Optional programs which are not specified in the above itinerary.
6. Tips to guides and drivers
Suggested tips: USD12-14 to tour guide per day, USD 8-12 to driver per day, but depending on their service, it's up to you.
