01 |
Arrival in Chengdu
Upon your arrival in Chengdu,
you will be met by our guide and escorted
to your hotel. Visit the Sanxingdui
Relics.
Sanxingdui
Relics: Located
in the city of Guanghan, 40 km from
Chengdu, Sanxingdui Relics is recognized
as one of the most important ancient
remains in the world for its vast size,
lengthy period and enriched cultural
contents. |

Chengdu - Panda
Research Base - Chengdu
(BL)
In the early morning, drive to Panda
Research Base to visit the Pandas. Back
to Chengdu in the afternoon.
Panda
Research Base: The
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda
Breeding (hereafter Chengdu Panda Base)
is a non-profit organization engaged
in wildlife research, captive breeding,
conservation education, and educational
tourism. The Chengdu Panda Base was
founded in 1987, with six giant pandas
rescued from the wild. In 2007, the
captive population has increased to
62 individuals from that founding population
of only six. |

Chengdu
- Leshan - Mt. Emeishan
(BLD)
Drive to Leshan Mountain. Visit the
Leshan Grand Buddha. Further to Mt.
Emei. Visit the Baoguo Temple and the
Wannian Temple on Mt. Emei. Stay overnight
at the hotel on Mt. Emei.
Leshan
Grand Buddha: Located in Leshan
City of Sichuan Province, the Grand
Buddha of Leshan the biggest carved
stone Buddha in China. The Buddha is
71 meters tall, with 28-meters wide
shoulders, 14.7-meters high head and
1.6-meters long toenails. It is taller
by 17 meters than the standing Buddha
in Afghanistan, the "so-called"
tallest Buddha in the world.
Mt.
Emeishan: It is one of the four
sacred Buddhist Mountains in China.
On the mountain there are many sites
of ancient Buddhist activities. Ever
since the introduction of Buddhism into
China in the 1st century AD, Buddhist
buildings have been built on the mountain.
There are more than one hundred temples
and monasteries. |

Emei
- Zigong - Dazu
(BLD)
Drive to Zigong. Visit the Zigong Dinosaur
Museum which was praised by American
NATINAL GEOGRAPHY MAGAZINE as "the
best dinosaur museum in the world",
then we will visit the Salt Museum.
Stay overnight at the hotel in Dazu.
Zigong
Dinosaur Museum: It
is China's first museum located at the
actual burial site of dinosaurs and
it covers 25,000 square meters. The
Museum together with the American National
Dinosaur Park and the Canadian Dinosaur
Park are the world's three largest dinosaur
museums. |

Dazu
- Chongqing (BL)
Visit the Dazu Grottos including the
North Cliff of Rock Sculpture and the
Baoding Carvings. Drive to Chongqing
in the afternoon.
Dazu
Grottos: The work
of Dazu Rock Carvings began in the first
year of Yonghui in Tang dynasty (650A.D.),
and continued until Ming and Qing dynasties.
There are more than 50,000 Buddhist
Taoist and Confucian rock carvings and
100,000 characters of inscriptions dotted
around Dazu. The carvings not only include
the statues of Buddha and Bodhisattva,
but also include that of monarchs, ministers,
military officers, high and low-ranking
officials, jailers, executioners, monks,
rich and poor people, and folk art performers.

the itinerary of each city. The cruise
shore excursion is in-group assigned
by the cruise company.
