Itinerary


Day 01		Entry Kunming Arrive in Kunming, our guide will meet you at the airport. Visit the Qiongzhu Temple. Qiongzhu Temple: The first temple built after Zen Buddhist had been introduced to Yunnan early in 1279.

Day 02		Kunming - Stone Forest - Kunming / (BL) After breakfast, drive 1.5 hours (90 KM) to visit the Stone Forest. Back to Kunming in the afternoon and visit the Golden Temple. Stone Forest: A massive collection of grey limestone pillars, split by rain water and eroded to their present fanciful forms. Golden Temple: Originally built in 1604 during the Ming dynasty. Built in 1890 with 250 tons of solid bronze, the present temple, 6.7 meters in height and 7.8 meters in width, is reputed as the largest bronze hall in China.

Day 03		Kunming - Lijiang / (BL) Take morning flight to Lijiang. Tour to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Visit villages of Naxi people, the Lijiang Murals, the 600 year old Ten Thousand Blossom Camellia Tree at the Yufeng Lama Temple. In the afternoon, visit the Black Dragon Pool in the Heilongtan Park and Lijiang Ancient Town. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: A holy mountain for the Naxi people that is located 15km north of Lijiang city with an altitude of 5600 meters (18,400 feet) above sea level. Visit villages of Naxi people. Lijiang Murals: Made in succession from the early Ming dynasty to the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing dynasty. These mural paintings, with their fine and smooth lines, bright colors, vivid pattern and balanced and harmonious composition are a wonderful sight. Heilongtan Park: Inside the park, many ancient architectures of the Naxi people scatter amidst the lush trees, adding unique view to this park. Lijiang Ancient Town: It is situated on a plateau at an elevation of 2,600m and is impressive because of its scenery and lush vegetation. There is no other town in China like Lijiang which incorporates the folkways of so many people and the architectural styles of both north and south China.

Day 04		Lijiang / (BL) Visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge and the First bend of the Yangtze River. Tiger Leaping Gorge: Extending for 15 kilometers from the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain of Lijiang to Haba Snow Mountain of Zhongdian, Tiger Leaping Gorge, with a drop of 3,000 meters, is believed to be one of the world's deepest canyons. The torrential Jinsha River, roaring and crashing over grotesque shaped rocks, produces a thrilling and stirring sight here. First bend of the Yangtze River: The Jinsha River, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, rises in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and flows southward. When the river reaches Shigu Township of Lijiang County, it makes an abrupt turn and flows northward, forming a great V-shaped bend reputed as the First Great Bend of the Yangtze River.

Day 05		Lijiang - Kunming / (BL) Take morning flight to Kunming. Visit the Western Hills by the Dianchi Lake and the Daguan Park. Western Hills: Located 15km west of Kunming, Western Hills is a range of four mountains stretching over 40 kilometers along the western shore of the Dianchi Lake, looking like a Sleeping Beauty with long tresses trailing away to the south. Totally cut on a natural precipice, Dragon Gate is the highlight of Western Hills. Many inscriptions and steles are found here and there in Dragon Gate. Daguan Park: First built in 1682 by a monk, is known for its longest antithetical couplet in China.

Day 06		Kunming - exit / (B) After breakfast, transfer to the airport and see you off.

1. Hotel accommodation
The hotel is based on two persons sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.
2. Meals
Daily American or Chinese breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch and dinner in local Chinese restaurant as specified in the itinerary. B - Breakfast, L - Lunch, D - Dinner.
3. Private Transport
Private transport between airport or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned vehicle.
4. Transportation between Cities
The economic class air tickets of the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between cities as specified in the itinerary.
5. Entrance tickets
The main entrance tickets for the sights mentioned.
6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you finish the itinerary of each city. The cruise shore excursion is in-group assigned by the cruise company.
7. Insurance
China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.
8. Tibet Travel Permit application fee
The Tibet Travel Permit application fee if your tour covers Tibet.

Charge of obtaining your visa to enter China.
2. Charge of arrival and departure
The international or domestic air / train charge of arrival and departure.
3. Single Room Supplement
Should a twin room is needed by a single guest, supplement of the twin room will be charged.
What is single supplement? - The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
4. Personal Expenses
Expenses of a personal nature such as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone call, optional activities or sightseeing, overweight baggage charges or meals not indicated, ect.
5. Optional Programs
Optional programs which are not specified in the above itinerary.
6. Tips to guides and drivers
Suggested tips: USD12-14 to tour guide per day, USD 8-12 to driver per day, but depending on their service, it's up to you.
