Entry
Kunming
Arrive in Kunming,
our guide will meet you at the airport,
visit the Western Hills by the Dianchi
Lake and the Daguan Park.
Western Hills: Located 15km west
of Kunming, Western Hills is a range
of four mountains stretching over
40 kilometers along the western shore
of the
Dianchi Lake,
looking like a Sleeping Beauty with
long tresses trailing away to the
south. Totally cut on a natural precipice,
Dragon Gate is the highlight of Western
Hills. Many inscriptions and steles
are found here and there in Dragon
Gate.
Daguan Park: First built in 1682
by a monk, is known for its longest
antithetical couplet in China.

Kunming
- Stone Forest - Kunming / (BL)
After breakfast, drive 1.5 hours (90
KM) to visit the Stone Forest. Back
to Kunming in the afternoon and visit
the Golden Temple.
Stone Forest: A massive collection
of grey limestone pillars, split by
rain water and eroded to their present
fanciful forms.
Golden
Temple: Originally built in 1604
during the Ming dynasty. Built in 1890
with 250 tons of solid bronze, the present
temple, 6.7 meters in height and 7.8
meters in width, is reputed as the largest
bronze hall in China. |

Kunming
- Dali / (BL)
Take morning flight to Dali. Take a
cruise in the Erhai Lake then visit
the Three pagodas. In the afternoon,
we will visit the Dali Ancient City.
Erhai Lake: A fresh water lake
in the Yunnan Plateau at an elevation
of 1972 metres, with a length of 42
km and width of 8 km.
Three pagodas: The Three Pagodas
are representation of the ancient
architectural and cultural arts of
the Bai nationality, erected during
the Wudai Period (907-979 A.D.) of
the Dali Kingdom.
Dali
Ancient City: A famous Chinese
historical and cultural city and a
national scenic zone. A rich heritage
dates back to the days when the city
was the capital of the kingdoms of
Nanzhao and Dali.

Dali
- Lijiang / (BL)
Drive to Lijiang. Visit the Black Dragon
Pool in the Heilongtan Park and Lijiang
Ancient Town.
Heilongtan
Park: Inside the park, many ancient
architectures of the Naxi people scatter
amidst the lush trees, adding unique
view to this park.
Lijiang
Ancient Town: It
is situated on a plateau at an elevation
of 2,600m and is impressive because
of its scenery and lush vegetation.
There is no other town in China like
Lijiang which incorporates the folkways
of so many people and the architectural
styles of both north and south China.

Tour to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Visit villages of Naxi people, the Lijiang
Murals, the 600 year old Ten Thousand
Blossom Camellia Tree at the Yufeng
Lama Temple. Enjoy the
Naxi Ancient Music
this evening.
Jade
Dragon Snow Mountain: A holy mountain
for the Naxi people that is located
15km north of Lijiang city with an
altitude of 5600 meters (18,400 feet)
above sea level. Visit villages of
Naxi people.
Lijiang
Murals: Made in succession from
the early Ming dynasty to the reign
of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing dynasty.
These mural paintings, with their
fine and smooth lines, bright colors,
vivid pattern and balanced and harmonious
composition are a wonderful sight.

Lijiang
- Lugu Lake / (BLD)
Drive 6.5 hours to the Lugu Lake. Visiting
the Mosuo families, taste Mosuo food.
Have a bonfire party tonight, dancing
with the pretty and graceful Mosuo girls.
Lugu
Lake: A shimmering pearl which is
the native place of "The Females'
Kingdom" composed of the Mosuo
people, a unique matriarchate well-preserved
by the indigenous Mosuo people, who
are a branch of the Naxi ethnic minority
group. |

Lugu
Lake - Lijiang /
(BL)
A cruise in the Lugu lake by "pig-trough"
boats". The water of the lake is
generally clean and green, with different
shades of colour: now turquoise blue,
now sapphire blue, now white-gray, simply
beyond one's imagination. Teeming in
the lake are fine-scaled fish, carps
and other species. Visit the Liwubi
Island and the Headman's Island.
Drive back to Lijiang in the afternoon.
