Seven
Star Park
Seven Star Park is on the eastern
side of the Li River, which covers 120 hectares
and includes peaks, rivers, caves, gardens
and relics.
Hua Bridge, a 5-arch bridge in the park,
is famous for its elegant style. It was
originally built in the Song Dynasty and
rebuilt in 1965. The length of the bridge
is 134.66 meters.
Putuo Peak is the most premier
attraction of the park because of its karst
caves and pavilions. Among the caves is
Seven Star Cave, which was an underground
river a million years ago. There are three
stories in the cave. The middle story with
a length of 814 meters is open to visitors.
Fantastic stalactites and stalagmites in
the cave are very attractive. The pavilions
on Putuo Peak are exquisite.
Guihai Stele Forest is
to the south of Yueya Hill. A lot of well-preserved
inscriptions, including inscriptions from
the Tang Dynasty, are still there.
