At about 06:00am, our Beijing
guide meet you in your hotel and then take our private
car to South Railway Station. Take the morning high
speed train from Beijing to Shanghai which takes
5 hours. Arriving at Hongqiao Railway Station, our
English-speaking tour guide will meet you at the
exit. After lunch, have a short walk along the Bund.
Take a cruise on the Huangpu River. Transfer to
Bund: Located along the Huangpu River, it is
an exemplar of western style buildings, most of
them were constructed before 1937. Strolling on
the Bund at night is an amazing experience, as the
skyline on both sides of Huangpu River is illuminated,
including the grand buildings at the Bund and the
Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the skyscrapers across
the river. So it is really an enjoyable experience
to take night cruise on Huangpu River.
- Suzhou - Tongli - Shanghai (Breakfast,

your hotel at about 08:00am. Drive to Suzhou which
takes 1.5 hour. Visit Wangshiyuan Garden, then move
on to Pingjiang Road for a walk. Have a short tour
of a silk factory. After lunch, explore the Tongli
water town. After the tour in Suzhou and Tongli,
transferred back to your midtown hotel in Shanghai.
Garden: It is the smallest among the four most
famous classic gardens in Suzhou, yet the finest.
The construction of the garden could be tracked
back to the Song Dynasty, more than 800 years ago.
The elegant inner garden has been duplicated as
one of the Chinese classic gardens by the Metropolitan
Museum of Art in New York City, which is named the
Ming Hall Garden, and miniaturized as an exhibit
in the Pompidou Center in Paris in 1982.
water town: The ancient town is surrounded by
five lakes in four sides and crisscrossed by canals.
It was established in the 7th century as a village
and became a great town between the 14th and the
19th centuries. Tongli is famed for its old architecture,
stone bridges and beautiful landscapes. There are
more than 25 ancient bridges left intact since the
13th century and the total length of canals measures
around 10 km.
- Beijing (Breakfast,
Visit World Financial Center,
a super tall skyscraper with breathtaking view of
Shanghai. Then explore Tianzifang Street which has
transformed itself from legacy residential architectures
and factories into an artsy area housing bars, cafes,
crafts shops, design studios, galleries and boutiques.
After lunch, visit YuYuan Garden and Shanghai old
town around the City God Temple. Be transferred
to Hongqiao Railway Station and take high speed
train for Beijing. Arrive Beijing, be met and transferred
to your hotel, end of service.
Also called as the Yu Garden, is the most famous
classical garden in Shanghai. YuYuan is located
to the northeast of the old town, not far from The
Bund. It was built from 1559 to 1577 during the
Ming Dynasty. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream
in the garden is expressing the quintessence of
South China landscape design from Ming and Qing
Temple: The temple is a well-known Taoist temple
within the old walled city. The City God Temple
connects to the Yuyuan Garden and the traditional
district of commerce. It is an attractive place
and shopping corner for visitors.
