Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival of Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing, our tour guide will meet you at Beijing airport. After claiming your luggage, you will easily find our guide holding a welcome sign with your name on it. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 02 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Visit the the Imperial Palace (Forbidden City), the Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. Enjoy the Beijing Duck Dinner and the Peking Opera in the evening.

Forbidden City: It was the imperial palaces of the Ming and Qing dynasties, now known as the Palace Museum. Located at the exact center of Beijing, Forbidden City is the largest and best-preserved collection of ancient buildings in China, covering a floor space of 720,000 square meters, and having 9,999 rooms.
Tian'anmen Square: The square, measuring 880 meters from north to south and 500 meters from west to east, is seated at the center of Beijing. Tiananmen Gate on the northern edge of the square used to be the front gate of Forbidden City - the imperial palace of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Around Tiananmen Square, tourist can find National Museum of China, Great Hall of the People, Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall and Monument to the People's Heroes.
Summer Palace: A masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design, it is situated in the northwestern outskirts of Beijing. The 100-odd examples of traditional architecture in the park include pavilions, terraces, temples, pagodas, waterside gazebos, covered corridors, stone bridges and the famous marble boat. Kunming Lake and the Long Corridor were created to imitate sites of outstanding beauty from all over China. All of these make it as one of the finest examples garden architecture in China.
Day 03 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)
After breakfast, pay a visit to the Great Wall and the Ming Tombs. See the appearance of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) at a distance.

Great Wall: One of the true architectural wonders of the world. It was first built about 2500 years ago, during the period of the Warring States, and was extended and fortified by subsequent dynasties: Qin, Han and Ming, the Great Wall extends to more than 5,000 kilometers.
Ming Tombs: As one of the most popular attractions in Beijing, Ming Tombs are located 50 kilometers northwest of Beijing. They were built within a natural basin, butted on two sides by the Yanshan Mountain Range, which was said to stop winds carrying evil spirits into the area. Ming Tombs are typical examples of Chinese emperors' mausoleums and the best testimony of China's long history and civilization. Dingling Tomb, also known as the Underground Palace, is the first imperial tomb to have been excavated in China. While Changling Tomb was the first and largest one built in the area.

Day 04 Beijing - Xi'an (Breakfast + Lunch)
Tour to the Temple of Heaven and Yonghegong Lama Temple. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Xi'an. Optional program in the evening: Tang Dynasty Dinner Show.

Temple of Heaven: Emperor Yong Le of the Ming dynasty decided 560 years ago to build a temple where the emperors could worship heaven, a ritual which he hoped would serve to perpetuate imperial rule, the result was the Temple of Heaven. Situated in southern Beijing, the Temple of Heaven park covers 273 hectares, its main structures are two groups of buildings on a north-south axis. The temple buildings and surrounding area make up one of the largest public parks in Beijing.
Yonghegong Lama Temple: The lamasery was built in 1694. The temple's bell tower is the first structure reached after passing through the front gates, but the huge bell itself has been placed outside the tower for all to see. The temple is a working lamasery so it's closed early in the mornings for prayer. With its beautifully landscaped gardens, stunning frescoes and tapestries, and incredible carpentry, the temple is a must for your Beijing trip!

Day 05 Xi'an (Breakfast + Lunch)
Take whole day sightseeing tour to the Terracotta Warriors & Horses Museum, Big Goose Pagoda and the Ancient City Wall.

Terracotta Warriors: The underworld army of Emperor Qin Shihuang who was the first unifier of China (259 BC-210 BC). The hundreds of detailed life-size models represent the army that triumphed over all other Chinese armies in the Warring States Period. The number of terracotta soldiers is over 8,000 with 130 chariots, 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses.
Xi'an Ancient City Wall: It is one of the oldest and best-preserved city walls in China. Construction of the first city wall of Chang'an began in 194 BCE and lasted for four years. The existing wall was started by the Ming Dynasty in 1370. It encircles a much smaller city of 14 square kilometres. The wall measures 13.7 kilometres in circumference, 12 metres in height, and 15-18 metres in thickness at the base.
Big Goose Pagoda: One of Xi'an's most distinctive and outstanding landmarks. Originally the Big Goose Pagoda consisted of a brick structure of five storeys and was about 60 meters high and was built in 589A.D.. One of the pagoda's many functions was to hold Buddhist sutras and figurines that were brought to China from India by the translator and traveller Xuanzang.
Day 06 Xi'an - Luoyang (Breakfast, Lunch)
Visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, the Great Mosque and the Muslim Quarters. Take the high-speed train from Xian to Luoyang which takes 3 hours. Be met and transferred to your hotel in Luoyang.

Shaanxi Provincial History Museum: The museum is a Tang-dynasty architecture, covering 65,000 square meters. It contains 115,000 objects in its collections. These works systematically exhibit the anient history of Shaanxi from 150,000 years ago to the year 1840. The collections include bronzes, Tang-dynasty tomb wall paintings, terracotta statuary, ceramics, bronze mirrors, and coins and currency, calligraphy, rubbings, scrolls, woven articles, bone articles, wooden and lacquer and iron and stone objects, seals, cultural relics and ethnic objects.
Muslim Quarters: The Muslim Quarter is behind the Drum Tower; it is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Xian. In the quarter, visitors will find many foods shops, restaurants, and small stores selling the special local products of Shaanxi Province and exquisite souvenirs.
Day 07 Luoyang (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, visit Longmen Grottoes. After lunch, visit Luoyang Museum and the White Horse Temple,

Longmen Grottoes: Located on the banks of the Yihe River, this ancient Buddhist cave art is 6 kilometers south of Luoyang. They were originally carved in 493 during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534). There are altogether 1,352 caves with more than 97,000 statues of the Buddha, Bodhisativas, and Arhats, and 3,680 inscribed stone tablets along the 1-km-long cliff. In 2000, the Longmen Grottoes was inscribed upon the UNESCO World Heritage List.
White Horse Temple: The first Buddhist Temple in China. It was established in 68 AD under the patronage of Emperor Ming from the Eastern Han Dynasty (25 AD - 220 AD). The main temple buildings what we see today was reconstructed during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) with an area of 40,000 square meters.
Day 08 Luoyang - Zhengzhou - Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, tour to Shaolin Temple which is the birthplace of Zen and the cradle of Shaolin Kongfu. After visiting at Shaolin Temple, drive to Zhengzhou Airport and take flight to Shanghai. Arrive at Shanghai, be met and transferred to your hotel.

Shaolin Temple: Established in 495 A.D., the monastery has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. It was the cradle of the Zen Buddhism and the Shaolin Kung Fu. The first abbot of the monastery was Batuo, a dhyana master who came to China from India in 464 AD to spread Buddhist teachings. The temple was included on UNESCO's World Cultural & Natural Heritage List in 2010.
Day 09 Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)
Visit YuYuan Garden and Shanghai old town around the City God Temple. Have a walk along the Bund and Nanjing Road.

YuYuan Garden: Also called as the Yu Garden, is the most famous classical garden in Shanghai. YuYuan is located to the northeast of the old town, not far from The Bund. It was built from 1559 to 1577 during the Ming Dynasty. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden is expressing the quintessence of South China landscape design from Ming and Qing Dynasty.
City God Temple: The temple is a well-known Taoist temple within the old walled city. The City God Temple connects to the Yuyuan Garden and the traditional district of commerce. It is an attractive place and shopping corner for visitors.
The Bund: Located along the Huangpu River, it is an exemplar of western style buildings, most of them were constructed before 1937. Strolling on the Bund at night is an amazing experience, as the skyline on both sides of Huangpu River is illuminated, including the grand buildings at the Bund and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the skyscrapers across the river. So it is really an enjoyable experience to take night cruise on Huangpu River.
Day 10 Departure (Breakfast)
