| The Yangtze River, over 6,300
kilometers long, is the largest and longest
river in China, and the third-longest in the
world. The river flows from west to east through
provinces of China finally emptying into the
East China Sea. With plenty of rainfall all
year round, the Yangtze River is named the
golden watercourse. The most impressive section
of the river is the three gorges: Qutang Gorge,
Wuxia Gorge and Xiling Gorge. |

Famous for its wonderful scenery,
rivers and karst peaks covered in lush vegetation,
Guilin has a long history as the most beautiful
place in China. As a tourist, one must take
a boat trip down the Li River to enjoy the
unique and picturesque mountains and to experien-
ce the local country life along the river.
The Li River trip is usually ended at a small
town called Yangshuo, which has become something
of a backpacker's legend. |
